“Mask Of Sanity”

This piece depicts Patrick Bateman, the wealthy, materialistic investment banker from American Psycho, peeling away at his "Mask of Sanity" revealing his true bloodlust intentions. There’s a chilling stillness in his expression. Detached, emotionless, as if he’s performing his ritual not out of remorse or revelation, but simply because it is part of his nature.

I was inspired by Patrick’s quote: “Something horrible is happening inside of me and I don't know why. My nightly bloodlust has overflown into my days. I feel lethal, on the verge of frenzy. I think my mask of sanity is about to slip.”
